  1. Hello Mary – wondering if you remember us ? Karen & Bruce Williamson. We certainly remember you – your bright eyes & wonderful smile! It has been a long time since we last saw you – but we wanted you to know we are thinking of you. We are so glad that your Dad is with you. A year ago we moved to Burnaby, BC, so that we could live close to our daughter & her family – so we know how important it is to be close. Please know that loads of Love and Hugs are being sent your way from us.

  2. This is for you Mary!

    Somewhere over the rainbow
    Way up high
    And the dreams that you dreamed of
    Once in a lullaby
    Somewhere over the rainbow
    Blue birds fly
    And the dreams that you dreamed of
    Dreams really do come true ooh oh

  3. CARRY ON POEM by Robert Service (first conveyed to me by Brian Tracy) I memorized this poem and recited it from stage in front of several thousand business owners some years ago. It is so apropos today. My best long-term friend, Dr. Pankaj Chand reminded me of this poem. Thank you!

    It’s easy to fight when everything’s right,
    And you’re mad with the thrill and the glory;
    It’s easy to cheer when victory’s near,
    And wallow in fields that are gory.
    It’s a different song when everything’s wrong,
    When you’re feeling infernally mortal;
    When it’s ten against one, and hope there is none,
    Buck up, little soldier, and chortle:
    Carry on! Carry on!
    There isn’t much punch in your blow.
    You’re glaring and staring and hitting out blind;
    You’re muddy and bloody, but never you mind.
    Carry on! Carry on!
    You haven’t the ghost of a show.
    It’s looking like death, but while you’ve a breath,
    Carry on, my son! Carry on!
    And so in the strife of the battle of life
    It’s easy to fight when you’re winning;
    It’s easy to slave, and starve and be brave,
    When the dawn of success is beginning.
    But the man who can meet despair and defeat
    With a cheer, there’s the man of God’s choosing;
    The man who can fight to Heaven’s own height
    Is the man who can fight when he’s losing.
    Carry on! Carry on!
    Things never were looming so black.
    But show that you haven’t a cowardly streak,
    And though you’re unlucky you never are weak.
    Carry on! Carry on!
    Brace up for another attack.
    It’s looking like hell, but — you never can tell:
    Carry on, old man! Carry on!
    There are some who drift out in the deserts of doubt,
    And some who in brutishness wallow;
    There are others, I know, who in piety go
    Because of a Heaven to follow.
    But to labour with zest, and to give of your best,
    For the sweetness and joy of the giving;
    To help folks along with a hand and a song;
    Why, there’s the real sunshine of living.
    Carry on! Carry on!
    Fight the good fight and true;
    Believe in your mission, greet life with a cheer;
    There’s big work to do, and that’s why you are here.
    Carry on! Carry on!
    Let the world be the better for you;
    And at last when you die, let this be your cry:
    Carry on, my soul! Carry on!

    1. Hi Mary: I’m a new baby boomer “business” friend of your dad’s. I am honored to get to know your bit thru him on social media. You sound AMAZING. We can all learn so much from each other and I am learning a lot from your dad’s fb posts about you two. I wish you well as you spend your last days with him. Sending you love and support.

      Hi James: I love this poem from Brian Tracey. Thank you for posting it. I printed it our and will read it every day (thinking of Mary and you and your extended family). You are not alone. Lot’s of folks are by your side. You are incredible.

  4. Mary, you may not remember me. We were sponsored by your Dad in Amway and saw you many times during ten or so years. I always remember your sunny smiles and bubbly personality which I know would serve you well nto your grown up years. Bless during this time. You are so loved by family and friends and God! Take care!

  5. Dearest Mary,
    Even though we are on other sides of the world you are someone that I will never forget. You are one of the most enthusiastic, inspirational and positive people that I have ever met. Your smile and laughter would always light up the room and make everyone want to be around you. I knew you would be an incredible mum too. Wish our children could have met. I won’t forget you and the ‘exclusively women’s girls’ an amazing group of women. Thinking of you and sending love xxx

  6. Mary,
    You are the strongest, kindest soul I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.
    You are an absolutely fantastic mom, and you always make me smile !
    Lots of love , and big hugs forever

  7. Mary ~ I want to post here especially for Clara ? I truly believe that you were able to beat all the odds that you did medically, so that you could be Clara’s mommy. Clara was matched to you because God, the universe, life ~ knew exactly what you two could do for each other. Every decision you made was ALWAYS made with Clara’s best interests at heart. It was wonderful watching the two of you because unlike most mom’s you were always completely engaged with Clara, treasuring every moment, and allowing her the safety and space to grow into who she is as an individual. I loved looking at the pictures when you two had photo sessions because the love and bond between the two of you is so clear and evident. As Clara grows I know that you have planted seeds of kindness, perseverance, acceptance, Faith, joy, love, positivity, playfulness, gratitude into her core. She will grow into an amazing person and because of the time and memories she shares with you this will shape who she becomes. I know how much you already miss Clara and I know that you never wanted to be away from her. Clara will one day understand too and when she does all of us are here to share stories about her mommy and how much you love her – you love her more than anything or anyone in the whole wide world.

    Wishing I was on that porch with You, holding your hand, sipping tea and talking about mountains kid. ?

  8. My dearest Mary,
    So many years of memories we’ve made together. From that very first time playing at the park with the Lambert kids to sneaking clothes out of each others closets during high school… how I wish I were sitting beside you on that deck so we could reminisce.
    You are in my thoughts sweetheart.
    I really miss you.
    sending all my love
    Miranda

  9. My Mary!
    So glad you are with your Dad and enjoying the beautiful sunrises!! You are in my heart and have been since our paths crossed at MacGregor all those years ago! Lunches on the floor in the gym and hours spent Girl Talking at each other’s houses. The science project, I think something to do with the solar system, we worked on at your Dad’s (he hasn’t changed a bit!) The adventures in Algonquin park for our Grade 8 trip will always be in my memories stored under some of my happiest moment! I remember specifically our homeroom teacher asking us to go around the class and tell what we wanted to be when we grew up. Your answer: a Mom! Mary you did it. You have been the best Mom to Clara and set an example to all of us I can only hope to achieve someday!!
    Know you are in my constant thoughts and heart!! It may have been years ago, when we were still babes ourselves but those special people stick with you! Getting to see you at East Sides years later and reconnecting through St Mary’s has been a blessing!!
    Love you Mary!! Always and Forever!!!

  10. Mary Mary- I love you ? I am so proud i have the privilege of calling you my friend, my little sister, my inspiration. Thinking of you constantly and sending you all my strength, love and light.

  11. Mary – you are such an incredible woman. You are probably the toughest chick I know. The perseverance and determination that you show even in the face of adversity is inspiring. Even on the really challenging days, you still manage to keep a sense of humour. Your infectious, beautiful smile will always remind me of what a truly amazing spirit you are. The world is a better place for having you in it. I am sending you and Clara so much love and will continue to pray that peace washes over you and the Lord holds you in His grace.

  12. Hello dear Mary,

    You have so many who love you. I am one of them and have loved you since you were a little one. You are being held in my thoughts and prayers.

    May God continue to watch over you and give you comfort and peace.

  13. Hello Mary Mary,

    That porch looks like a lovely place to be. I’m sending my warmest thoughts out your way. I remember our days working the weekend shift – You, Michelle and I and how much fun we had. I remember our matching Whinnie the Pooh socks that Michelle got us all and that I had for many more years. I think of you every time I hear Mary J Blige sing “Family Affair” and most of all, I remember so many laughs and smiles together. You are a wonderful, warm person who brings a smile to my face whenever I think of you. Much love to you!!

  14. Mary Mary, I am not great with words but I will try. You are the friend who smiles and lights up a room. The friend who put others before herself time after time. You are my friend who loves the little things in life ( fuzzy peaches and bowls piled high at Mongolian Grill). You are my sweetest friend who taught me the truest meaning of self sacrifice and what putting your child first means. You are a gift and I am forever grateful for having you in my life. Rest my friend knowing you are loved dearly! All my love, Michelle

  15. Mary mary mary, when i think of meeting you all those years ago, i think of warmth, happiness and that amazing smile. Such strength you possess sweet lady! Know that all the lives you touched with that smile (and those dimples) are better for having met you.
