Mary Fourth Grade Report Card
Mary was an excellent student. She studied hard and was very smart.
Her talents showed well in art and writing. I still have many of her drawings from early childhood and will post over time.
Here is her 3rd grade report card.
Yes, Mary, you should be very proud of your efforts.
Mary 3rd Grade Report0001In July 2013, Mary bought these prints. I know because she left me the email with the attachments of the prints. Where the Wilds Things Are was a book we shared many, many times. I would read it and be animated when reciting, and they rolled their terrible eyes, and mashed their terrible teeth, and showed their terrible claws. Mary would laugh and laugh. She always liked to smile. We both liked this saying that I used often to her even as an adult.
I know she got these for Clara to express her love for her, as she did in so many ways. I am so proud of her.
Today, Mary would be 34 yrso. Here is a video of her at six years old in 1989. She wanted to go to Disney World for her birthday. As we got to the US Customs, the officer asked if I had permission to take her out of Canada. I told him to tell her she couldn’t go to Disney World. He realized that would not be a good idea. So he asked her if I was her father and where were we going together. She looked at him and said; a father-daughter look-alike contest. He smiled and let us through.
This is Clara at Disney World with her mom 2016. Clara was the same age then as Mary in this video snippet.
Clara and Mary went to Disney World when Clara was about the same age. They look so much alike at that age. Remember, Clara, your mom loves you very much.
Mary loved to swim. When we lived in Fergus, ON, we had a swimming pool that she and Miranda spent hours together playing.
This is Mary at about four & a half with water wings. Mary and I took Clara to swimming lessons at the Guelph YMCA. Clara’s dad would sometimes come and swim with young Clara, or Jack then. Mary & I would talk and watch Clara swim. Clara loved the water as well.
This is Mary in the Fergus pool.
