Tribute to Mary Elizabeth Boleyn

Today, as I am commemorating what would have been your 40th birthday, Mary, my heart is filled with a medley of emotions. Your journey, though marked by the challenges of Cystic Fibrosis, was a beacon of courage, vulnerability, and stamina. Your life was a testament to living each moment to the fullest, embracing every ‘TaDa’ moment with open arms and a contagious zest for life.

Born on November 27, 1983, in Guelph, Ontario, you entered this world bringing light and love. You always knew how unique and special you were, Mary. Each moment was precious, and you lived your life with an unwavering spirit of celebration, symbolized by your favorite expression, “TaDa!” This wasn’t just a word for you; it was a philosophy, a way to acknowledge and cherish every achievement, big or small.

Your TaDa moments weren’t just about joy; they were also about hope and purpose. You wanted to pack as many of these moments into your life as possible, sharing them generously with friends and family. Known for your “singing arms-flung” expressions, you became an embodiment of joy and resilience.

As your father, I’ve always been in awe of your strength and your planning, even in your final moments. Your eyes, full of contentment and hope, spoke volumes as you embraced your last TaDa moment. You transitioned on July 24, 2017, at home, surrounded by love, fulfilling your wish to leave peacefully, in stark contrast to the often lonely and painful exits faced by many with CF.

Your legacy extends beyond your physical presence. The Mary Boleyn Hospice Foundation Inc, inspired by your vision, now stands as a beacon of hope and support for CF families, ensuring they receive the care and comfort they need during their most challenging times. The Thumb’s Up TaDa logo symbolizes your enduring spirit, raising awareness and funds for hospice care.

Your father’s songs, written in your honor, resonate with the love and purpose you instilled in all of us. The lyrics, “Now I miss you sometimes more than I can bear,” echo the deep void left by your absence, yet also remind us of the enduring bond between a father and his daughter. Your life, although cut short, was a melody of love, hope, and unwavering spirit.

In your own words, Mary, spoken following the Coins for Change event, every sentence needs a new breath, and every dream needs a new challenge. You lived by these words, turning every challenge into an opportunity to make a difference. Your speech at the Kinsmen’s Club remains a powerful reminder of your determination and vision.

As I celebrate your life today, I am reminded of your unwavering spirit, your love for life, and the legacy you have left behind. Mary Elizabeth Boleyn, you were, and always will be, a shining light in the lives of those you touched. Your TaDa moments continue to inspire us, and your legacy lives on in the hearts of many.

Happy 40th birthday, Mary. Your spirit continues to guide us, encouraging us to find joy in every moment and to live our lives with purpose and hope.

Happy 12th Clara Boleyn

Hello, Clara

I am excited for you on your twelve birthday. Now you are in your thirteenth year! You are officially a teenager! By your next birthday, you will have completed 13 trips around the sun on planet earth. I always find it amazing.

Here are some pics to remind you how much your Opa loves you, misses you, and looks so forward to us being together again. There are so many things to share with you. You will have a massive trust waiting. Check out the Mary Boleyn Hospice Foundation Inc.

The flower pictures at the bottom are from my Mary & I on your birthday, because we know you love PURPLE! Tada!

Excuse Me

I found this today and knew you would love it. Great things happened this week with Mary Boleyn Hospice Foundation Inc. I made contact with a person involved with CFF in palliative care and sent her, Dr. Elizabeth Dallon, a set of Heart TaDa mugs.

I also sent 12 Heart TaDa mugs to the Davies Project in Lansing, MI as recognition from Rapidgo Driver to their volunteer drivers. We are calling them “Heartfelt Thanks”.

I am working on a lifetime award for contributors to the hospice foundation. I am thinking: Lifetime Contribution Award for exemplary contribution to the foundation or CF. I will include Pankaj Chand, who flew from Canada to be with Mary during her final hours and Mary Mount, without whom we would not have had the Allimance-Caswell County Hospice care we all needed at the time of your transition.

Missing you sometimes more than I can bear.

TaDa Meets GO

Hey Clara & Mary;

I am pretty excited about this. So you know how I created the Rapidgo Driver logo and had it animated, right? Well, yesterday I had another animation created that has the logo come out of the wheel and wave. Here it is.

So, the next creation will have “GO” put up its arms and the TaDa bubbles float up, like this.

More later,

OPA & DAD

TaDa Merchandise

This is exciting. I have started really promoting TaDa as a meme across multiple media. I have coffee cups, especially for you, Mary, stickers, magnets, t-shirts, note cards. This will go viral.

This is for you Mary! Love you, DAD

I spoke with Peter at Alamance County Hospice, the non-profit that aided Mary in her final days. I am excited about what we will be doing together in Mary’s name.

Rapidgo Driver will be donated profits to Mary’s foundation. I have a great idea about creating TADA logo on pins, cups, etc. With the musical note, it can become a meme for doing something to be proud of.

Mary would love it! Miss you sometimes more than I can bear.

Some day Clara will discover all this.
